My Story
Lauren Nisivoccia, creator of cannabitch relax
At 23, I was diagnosed with severe Degenerative Disc Disease which caused 3 severely herniated discs, facet joint arthritis, myofascial pain syndrome, muscle pain
and tension, and debilitating chronic pain.
I couldn't sit for more than 30 minutes without a severe flareup. I had to quit my job as a graphic designer, I stopped being able to take the train or car rides, I couldn't even go out to eat because sitting that long was intolerable.

It's been a long journey to learn to live with chronic pain. Every 6 months I get a nerve ablation done on 3 levels of my spine to relieve some of the pain. I get acupuncture weekly, I enrolled in a 40hr/week 4-week pain management program, I walk 5-10 miles a day to relieve some of the pain, to name just a few hoops I go through to live
some semblance of a normal life.
Marijuana played a huge role in my progress. I cut opiates by half in the first 2 weeks of getting my medical marijuana card. I no longer even take opiates. While the THC (which gets you high) has been incredibly helpful, the CBD has been right there with it. I want to share the relief it has given me with others. I found that between the hot water and CBD, the baths give me some serious relief. I usually will follow it up with CBD oil covering my back to continue letting it sink in.
How am I now? I can sit for up to a couple hours at a time, I can go out to eat with my friends, I can play Magic the Gathering with my husband. I'll likely never be free of the pain or return to life "before", but I can make my future brighter. Can you ask for more than that?

It was devastating watching my wife struggle to do activities that had been simple before. Watching her be forced to eliminate so many activities was really hard, and it made me more determined to help her get as much relief as possible.
I saw CBD giving her some activities back, like going to see a movie in theaters or being able to do laundry, and it was so meaningful to me. I, like Lauren, wanted to share that relief with others who are struggling.
